Service Description

This multi-day course will give you the foundational skills you need to progress towards being safe in Class C “wet” Canyons. HERE ARE SOME OF THE POINTS THIS COURSE WILL COVER: -Logistics and Safety -Risk management: Humans Factors, environmental hazards, and swift water hazards -Understand Canyon grades and topos -Canyoning Leave No Trace -Rope and Equipment Care -Canyoning essential knots -Rappel; control speed while rappelling. Apply brake to stop mid-rappel. -Rope ascend -Canyon’s anchors and contingency rigging. -Signals: verbal commands, whistle signals, hand signals. -Climbing, Spotting and Belaying, -Jumping and water sliding." -Canyon companion rescue INCLUDED IN THE PRICE: -Two evening sessions + two full days -Small instructor to participant ratio of 1:5 -Wetsuits and footwear -Personal harness equipped with the required hardware and all group safety gear. -Canyoning Manual -A certificate of participation upon completion of the course NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE: -Transportation -Food -Accommodation -Gratuity for the instructor EXPLORER REQUIREMENTS: This course is designed specifically for beginner/intermediate canyoneers who have completed at least an "Introduction to Canyoning" course or have equivalent experience.
