Canyoning Training Program: Mastering the Art of Canyoneering Are you ready to take your canyoning adventures to the next level? Our comprehensive canyoning training program is designed to equip you with the essential skills and knowledge needed to explore canyons safely, responsibly, and with confidence. With a combination of online courses, hands-on training at the crag, and immersive experiences in the canyon, our program offers a holistic approach to canyoneering education. Module 1: Canyoning Essentials Duration: 3 hours Location: Online Meetup In Module 1, "Canyoning Essentials," we kickstart your canyoning journey with a thorough online evening course. This module covers critical aspects such as trip planning, risk management, eco-friendly practices, and effective communication strategies. Whether you're a beginner or an intermediate canyoneer, this course will prepare you for your canyoning adventures while instilling a sense of environmental responsibility. Module 2: Knots and Anchors Rigging Location: Greenwood Park, North Vancouver Module 2, Knots and Anchors Rigging, is an in-depth exploration of canyoning rigging techniques. During this 3.5-hour workshop, you'll master essential knots and hitches, learn how to set up releasable rigging systems, build sturdy anchors, and understand the nuances of static and releasable systems. This module is perfect for those aspiring to become proficient canyon riggers. Module 3: Advanced Vertical Rope Skills Location: North Vancouver, Greenwood Park Take your canyoning skills to new heights with Module 3, "Advanced Vertical Rope Skills." This full-day course at the crag (not in water) will transform you into a rope ninja, ready to conquer canyons and beyond. You'll delve deep into rappelling techniques, ascending ropes, mastering belay methods, hands-free lowering, rope management, and the use of handlines for safety. By the end of this module, you'll be a certified rope expert. Module 4: Companion Canyon Rescue Location: North Vancouver, Greenwood Park The Companion Canyon Rescue module is a vital component of our training program. In this workshop, you'll gain the skills and knowledge necessary for successful canyon rescue, patient care, and evacuation. From mastering gear organization to understanding rope rescue standards and mechanical advantage systems, you'll be prepared to handle any canyon emergency with confidence. Reservation and Cancelation Policy
RESERVATION AND BOOKING POLICY To ensure a smooth reservation process and a delightful adventure with us, please carefully review and adhere to our reservation and booking policy outlined below. FULL PAYMENT AND RESERVATION GUARANTEE: To secure your reservation, full payment must be made at least 10 days prior to the activity dates. This guarantees your spot and allows us to make the necessary arrangements. Additionally, all participants must agree to the terms of our liability waivers and complete a participant form before the activity is confirmed. On the day of the activity, all participants are required to sign our liability waivers to meet insurance requirements. If you are uncomfortable with the terms, a refund will be provided, no questions asked. CANCELLATIONS AND REBOOKING: We understand that plans can change, but please note our cancellation and rebooking policy: Changes to the participation date can be requested up to ten days before the activity start date, subject to availability. An administration fee of $25 per person or a 75% refund will apply. Cancellations within 48 hours of the activity are non-refundable. Please note that cancellations and booking changes must be made in writing (via email or text) and are considered confirmed only when acknowledged by West Coast Canyoning Adventures. INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY: Safety is our top priority. In the event of inclement weather or unsafe conditions, we reserve the right to reschedule activities. If rescheduling is not possible a refund or credit will be issued. MINIMUM PARTICIPANTS THRESHOLD: To ensure an engaging experience, we have a minimum participants threshold. If an activity does not meet the minimum requirement of three participants, we may need to reschedule. However, we can offer the option to transfer participants into a private class for an additional fee. If you do not agree to this arrangement, a full refund will be provided.
